富士銀行（現みずほFG)、アクセンチュアを経て、新生フィナンシャル代表取締役社長、新生銀行常務などを歴任。東京大学卒、コロンビア大学MBA並びに金融工学修士。

Columbia Venture Community(CVC)は、アントレプレナーシップとイノベーションのあらゆる側面に関心を持つ約6,000人のコロンビア大学の卒業生からなるネットワーク。2006年に設立されたCVCは、これまでに世界中で480以上のイベントを主催。 今日、CVCは複数のグローバルプログラム、対面でのイベントやバーチャルイベント、メンバーがリソースを共有するためのオンラインコミュニティを運営。CVCはコロンビア同窓会(CAA)の下で正式に "shared interest group" (SIG) として活動しており、大学と密接に連携しています。

About this Event
The Japan Chapter of the Columbia Venture Community (CVC) is pleased to invite you to a virtual talk with Riku Sugie, President & CEO of Paidy. He will share his career and invaluable experience of large scale exit (M&A) as a top executive.
In this virtual Startup CEO Talk, we will touch on the following topics:
- His professional experience as President & CEO of Paidy
- The exit strategy (IPO or M&A) for Paidy and the background of PayPal acquisition
- The overview and key message of his newly published book: “Startup Nippon”
If you're interested in learning about the management of growing startups, exit strategies for unicorns, and/or the future of Japan's startup market, make sure you're able to attend this event!

Riku Sugie, President and CEO, Paidy
Riku joins from Shinsei, where he was the President and CEO of Shinsei Financial and the Managing Executive officer of Shinsei Bank. Prior to Shinsei, he was working with Accenture. He began his career with Fuji Bank (now Mizuho FG).
Graduated from Tokyo University, Columbia University, MBA and Master of Financial Engineering.
